Snowstorms are rare in my part of the world. This one promises to be a big one. Doesn’t matter, though, it’s just another quiet day at the ranch.

My life is a whirlwind. Ever since I stood on that stupid park bench and belted out a song by one of my favorite artists. Now, though, I could use a break. I’m just homesick enough to accept an invite home from an old friend.

He failed to remind me that we were actually staying with his older brother. Which is the only reason I find myself hugging the stuffing out of a stranger the next morning.

What could possibly happen trapped in a Christmas snowstorm in the middle of nowhere with the grumpy cowboy?
